Little Keys 🎹
A playful first step into piano for ages 3–5.
Little Keys is a piano program designed especially for preschoolers. This specialized early-learning curriculum, blended with my own teaching experience, introduces young musicians to the foundations of piano through short lessons, creative characters, activities, and play. The goal is to make those first experiences with music positive and fun while building skills that can grow right along with them — helping today's Little Keys players become tomorrow's Big Keys players! 20-minute lessons • $25 per lesson Additional book/material fees may apply. Monthly lesson packages are available. |
Big Keys 🎶
Personalized piano lessons for ages 6 through adults.
Big Keys lessons are designed around each student's experience, interests, and goals. Books and curriculum are selected based on the individual student rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you're a child sitting down at the piano for the first time, a teen who wants to learn something new, or an adult returning to an instrument you once played, we'll build your musical skills while making room for music you actually want to play. 30-minute lessons • $30 per lesson Additional book/material fees may apply. Monthly lesson packages are available. |

About Your Teacher
I began playing piano at age 6 and never looked back. I’ve enjoyed playing — and yes, even practicing! — throughout my life. My piano training included private lessons through college, along with studies in music composition. I am also trained and certified as a Music Together teacher.
Over the years, I have participated in Piano Guild, performed in piano competitions and contests, played for churches and special events, and served as an accompanist. My musical background includes reading traditional notation as well as playing from chord charts, using the number system, and playing by ear. I simply love music in all its forms, from classical to rock to country. I'm a singer-songwriter and also play guitar and clarinet (my former Missouri State band instrument!). Today, I'm the keyboardist for the band Sucia Rosa, and I even have an original song available on streaming platforms. Listen to “Everyday (It's Hard to Be Blue)” below, or find it on Apple Music and Spotify. My Teaching Experience & Philosophy.
I have taught piano for more than two decades, with my student roster shifting through different seasons of life — both mine and my students'. My teaching experience also includes Music Together, and I have served as a choir director for both a church and a private school. I believe learning piano should build strong musical foundations while still leaving room for creativity and fun. Every student is different, and I enjoy helping students discover music they are excited to play — including finding favorite songs and giving them the tools to learn them. My goal is for students to build skills they can carry with them for a lifetime while discovering their own reasons to love making music. |
Additionally, I am available to serve as an accompanist or to play for private events as a pianist specializing in classical music, church music, singer-songwriter (think Nora Jones, Carole King, etc), and even pop and rock (Elton John, Tom Petty, etc).
